What we've been up to!

June saw the final week of School of Leadership led by Sam and Esther which has been based in Leeds since September 2025. Chris Deurden and Martin Charlesworth (who both ran the course last year) were there to lead some of the sessions and Isaac Bentley did loads to help by covering a lot of the media and tech. Many of the students were very thankful and shared stories of how the course has blessed them.

The Sunday evening Ukraine Prayer group has now been running for four and a half year and continues to see momentum with more people joining them on zoom.

The recent wider Leaders evening was hugely encouraging – A BIG thankyou to Dave Mullen, Anna Crump, Jon Nelson and Steve Hackshaw who shared about leading in the workplace with such honest reflections of frustrations they find but also demonstrating so much integrity and wisdom as they seek to bring kingdom values.

We had a fun whole Church picnic together the other Sunday and were grateful the rain held off and we had the chance to mix and get to know one another better.

Lastly it was fab to see so many of the local community at the Café the other week, especially people from Caring Together. A BIG thankyou to Agnish and the volunteer team for stepping up and leading while Adriana was away.

This is a place where we hope to share what we have been up to in Gateway, to let the whole church know of activities and aspects of church life including wider outreach and initiatives that you may not always get to witness or hear about. We want to encourage everyone with all the good and exciting projects we are part of and give space to look back, reflect on and thank God and others in our church community who serve in the local area, the city or further afield.

If you have something to share please email it in to sarah.woodger@gatewayleeds.net
