What we've been up to!
There has been so much happening in church life to remember and thank God for, here are a few highlights to share;
March was a busy month with Baptisms and our Vision & Values course where five new people looking to explore membership came along for lunch at the Bissell’s home and time to meet some of our leaders and ask questions.
The students' and 20's had a fab day away which included a bible discussion led by Oli and Karthick, a dodge ball game, lunch together and a walk.
Phil and Sarah Smith hosted a Prophecy evening where they did a great job explaining how to grow in the gift, with a number of people prayed for and encouraged with Prophetic words.
The Women's evening was also such a brilliant time, Mathilda's talk on the prophetess Anna was insightful and touching and Hannah Clark's poem on Anna was also beautiful and encouraging.
And we had a precious Sunday gathering as we said goodbye to the Boxall family and sent them to Canada covered in prayer.
Over Easter we held two events, first was our Tenebrae on maundy Thursday which was a powerful, reflective and sobering time, and a great reminder of what Jesus went through for us on the cross. Sam and Bryn did a great job organising this. Then a fun and joy filled Easter Sunday celebration including a Easter trail, time of praise & worship, drama and interactive and engaging all age talk from Tim Wyatt.
This is a place where we hope to share what we have been up to in Gateway, to let the whole church know of activities and aspects of church life including wider outreach and initiatives that you may not always get to witness or hear about. We want to encourage everyone with all the good and exciting projects we are part of and give space to look back, reflect on and thank God and others in our church community who serve in the local area, the city or further afield.
