What we've been up to!

Here are some fantastic highlight from the Gateway community over the last few weeks…

In October we took a special offering to raise money to complete the St Mark’s Renovation specifically renovating the vestry in order to create a space for children, youth, staff, and community programmes as well as giving a donation away to Igor Bogomaz and his apostolic team based in House of God's Grace Church, Kropyvnytskyi. The Offering total is a staggering £53,200 and counting! Thankyou so much to all those who have given!

Also in October we held a special Creation Sunday to focus on God our Creator – a big thank you to our speaker John Davy who stepped in last minute. We had a brilliant Women’s evening in October – thankyou to our host Bethan and speakers Heather and Ramya.

Natalie and Amy led a jam packed creative Tuesday workshop in October with a wide range of Autumn inspired activities, take a look!

Josh and Esther Bissell have recently been with Gateway youth at their Sunday evening meetings - looking at the bible and how a testimony can be powerful - there has been some  great youth engagement and 5 Ukrainian young people joining them.

We had a very full and busy baptism morning recently, where four were baptised and shared their inspiring testimonies with so much passion.

The latest Vision and Values course gave a good number of  those who are new to Gateway the chance to find out more about the church, our story, who we are, what we believe and what we do - by looking at the vision and values that shape us as a church. Thank you to the hosts and leaders involved.

It was fantastic to celebrate and mark Jean’s 90th birthday during our Sunday gathering – she is such a special and treasured member of our community.

This is a place where we hope to share what we have been up to in Gateway, to let the whole church know of activities and aspects of church life including wider outreach and initiatives that you may not always get to witness or hear about. We want to encourage everyone with all the good and exciting projects we are part of and give space to look back, reflect on and thank God and others in our church community who serve in the local area, the city or further afield.
