What we've been up to!

It was great to have Jeremy and Ann Simpkins from ChristCentral visit at the beginning of October where they spent time encouraging our leaders to step out in prophetic gifts and spoke at our Sunday gathering including leading a time of ministry.

We also had a brilliant all-age gathering this month where Tim Wyatt opened up the BIG Question ‘What happens after we die?’ which included lots of funny stories and a powerful spoken word piece from Florence.

The Student and 20’s team are hosting a number of events this autumn and there were 16 people, including 3 new students at their first Worship and prayer night.

We have been able to host and run a number of wider church initiatives at St Mark’s recently including another CC Prayer day at the beginning of the month which is a key strategic gathering for all ChristCentral churches in the UK led by Chris Frost. Also Tim Green and Nick Mance launched Into the Word, which is a nine-session course taking place over the next year which will help those enrolled get to grips with the narrative, themes and literature of the whole Bible. And Sam and Esther along with Isaac Bentley supporting with pa and media are now into the second month of School of Leadership which is a two year course for those called to some form of leadership in the church or in the wider world with students participating in-person and online.

This is a place where we hope to share what we have been up to in Gateway, to let the whole church know of activities and aspects of church life including wider outreach and initiatives that you may not always get to witness or hear about. We want to encourage everyone with all the good and exciting projects we are part of and give space to look back, reflect on and thank God and others in our church community who serve in the local area, the city or further afield.

If you have something to share please email it in to sarah.woodger@gatewayleeds.net
