What we've been up to!
Our Pop-up Creative Tuesdays are now becoming a regular monthly feature at the community cafe and it has been great to see people from church and the community of all ages connecting in these creative fun sessions – a big thank you to Natalie and Amy for leading the projects.
Also in our monthly all-age Sunday gatherings it’s been a joy to see so many adults and children involved and engaging so well together. Thank you to all our speakers who put together such creative and well planned talks.
It is great to have a growing number of people regularly praying before our Sunday gatherings – thanks to Lesley for encouraging this time.
Other regular church initiative have been seeing fruit too including many new people connecting during our Hospitality Sundays with people inviting and hosting others in their homes, the Eco-gen project has had a good number of customers on Sundays giving our young people a voice to promote sustainable living through reducing waste and it is great to still run Chillzone on Friday and welcome more young people from the local area.
Finally a BIG congratulations to Steffan and Evita who got married on Saturday at St Mark’s!
This is a place where we hope to share what we have been up to in Gateway, to let the whole church know of activities and aspects of church life including wider outreach and initiatives that you may not always get to witness or hear about. We want to encourage everyone with all the good and exciting projects we are part of and give space to look back, reflect on and thank God and others in our church community who serve in the local area, the city or further afield.
If you have something to share please email it in to sarah.woodger@gatewayleeds.net
