The Gospel Unplugged – Alpha Launch
An evening of live modern
popular music accompanied by short talks from the lyrics and free drinks, this
is going to be a fantastic event to launch our next Alpha course. Run in
partnership with St Georges, the events are run at their church building (Great
George Street, Leeds, LS1 3BR) on Feb 4th (19:30) and 5th (17:00 and 19:30).
The Alpha course will follow on for the next 8 Wednesdays after the weekend at 7pm at the same location.

Who is Alpha for?
Alpha is for everyone; no question is out of bounds and you are free to discuss as much or as little as you wish. We don’t assume any background knowledge of or belief in Christianity and everyone is welcome, no need to book.
What is Alpha?
Alpha is an opportunity to explore the meaning of life in an informal, fun and friendly environment. The Alpha course consists of a series of talks, looking at topics including 'Who is Jesus?' and 'Why and how do I pray?', with the option of a weekend away. We meet for supper and each talk is followed by discussion in small groups.
Alpha runs every Wednesday for ten weeks. You don’t have to come to the whole course – just pop along for the first night and see what you think. No pressure.
Alpha for mums
The Mums’ Alpha Course is an opportunity to explore the Christian faith. It is relaxed, low key, friendly and fun. Listen, learn, discuss, discover and ask anything. Alpha is a place where no question is too simple or too hostile.
Each week we will watch a topical talk together, followed by coffee, cake and discussion. This is a great chance to get to know some new people, explore the Christian faith and ask any questions you might have. There will also be a crèche available with crb’d workers.
The course begins at 9:30am (we aim to finish by 11am) on Friday 10th February 2012 and runs for 11 weeks in the St George’s Centre (adjacent to the church building).
